Cloud Analogy – Project on Zoho CRM and Airtable Integration

Let us now discuss the project done by Cloud Analogy wherein the client had the following requirement:

Client Requirement

The client wanted us to integrate the Airtable and Zoho CRM so that when a new entry is recorded to a table in Airtable, it should be sent to the Zoho CRM Lead module.

Our Solution

We integrated Airtable and Zoho CRM with the help of a third-party integration tool, i.e., Zapier.

Before moving further, let’s take a quick overview of  Zoho CRM, Airtable, and Zapier.

What is Zapier?

Zapier is an online automation tool that connects more than 1,500 web applications so that they can operate together.

What is Zap?

A Zap is a method by which information is transferred between Zapier-enabled applications. It transmits data from one app to another based on a system of triggers and actions.

Trigger – It is the initial event that commands Zapier to start an action.

Action – It is the process that happens in the connected application after the trigger has occurred.

Integration of Zoho CRM and Airtable

To integrate Zoho CRM with Airtable through Zapier, we need to proceed with the following steps:

Step 1: Created a new zap on Zapier.

Step 2:  We select ‘Airtable’ as the trigger app.

Step 3: We selected the criteria as ‘New Record’ which means the zap triggers when a new record is available on Airtable. We connected an account of Airtable and then set up the Airtable record on which we want the trigger to run.

Step 4:  Now the trigger app was ready-to-use.

Step 5:  Also, we added a filter as the client wanted us to do it in such a way that Zapier can only fetch some filtered data. Moreover, data got added to the Zoho CRM Lead module.

Action App

Step 1: Selected ‘Zoho CRM’ as the action app.

Step 2: Selected the action as ‘Create Lead’ which means the zap triggers when a new record is available on Airtable, and a new lead was created on Zoho CRM. Hence, www.thefloridamaids.com offers qualified vacation rental cleaning and Airbnb cleaning in Florida.

Now we mapped the Lead module fields from Zoho CRM to Airtable Base table fields.

Step 1: A new entry was made on the Airtable Base Table.

Step 2: We activated the zap and then ran it manually to test, whether it is running fine or not.

Step 3: When we ran the zap, it found the new entry on the Airtable base table that we made earlier.

Bottom Line

A new lead was created on Zoho CRM with the same entries we created on Airtable.
